Kevin Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy is a board-certified pediatrician and has been working with children for his entire medical career. His treatment approach is holistic and based on anticipation of developmental and health issues. His focus is on each individual child, and Dr. Murphy encourages each child to participate in and ask questions about his or her own health.

His interests center on his wife Rene, his nine children and tending to his century-old home and its garden. Alabama football has a hold on his attention in the fall!

Dr. Murphy earned a bachelor of science – summa cum laude – in chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University Medical School, and completed a residency in pediatrics at Portsmouth Regional Naval Medical Center. Dr. Murphy is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
